Amen Clinics, founded by Dr. Daniel Amen, a world-renowned pioneering physician in brain health, had outgrown a space in New York that felt tired, dark, and dated and no longer reflected the quality of care, innovation, or patient experience associated with the practice.
The assignment was to identify approximately 7,500 square feet in a building that could accommodate medical use while providing a brighter, more modern, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
The search involved significantly more than finding the right size and location. The building needed to be convenient for patients traveling from throughout the tri-state area while satisfying the highly specialized technical requirements of Amen Clinics’ operations. In particular, the property had to accommodate MRI equipment, provide sufficient access for its delivery and installation, and support the substantial floor load created by the equipment.
By carefully evaluating medical-use restrictions, building infrastructure, structural capacity, equipment access, and regional accessibility, the search was narrowed to properties capable of supporting both the clinic’s operational requirements and the elevated image of a nationally recognized medical practice.
